Give them access instead of exporting
The simplest option: invite your bookkeeper as a Viewer from Organization → Users. They can open every payroll, download reports, and see tax documents, but can’t change anything. If you have more than one company on Bolto, invite them to each. See Users & Roles.Reports in Bolto
Month-end close
For each payroll in the month, download the payroll summary and give it to your bookkeeper. The debit on your bank statement equals net pay plus all taxes for that run, and the journal reconciles to it. International contractor runs show as a separate ACH charge for the funding invoice.QuickBooks Online
Connect QuickBooks from Organization → Integrations → QuickBooks. Payroll journal entries post automatically after each run. Your bookkeeper will usually ask you to do this. Once connected, they can map accounts in QuickBooks.Other requests
- Employee census for benefits renewals or 401(k) testing (names, DOB, hire date, salary, state): not a self-serve export yet. Email support with the fields you need and we’ll send a CSV.
- Which states you have employees in: the Taxes & Compliance page lists every state with its status. A Viewer can see it.
- Year-to-date wages and taxes per employee: on each employee’s paystubs, or ask support for a YTD summary.
- Proof of income or employment letters: employees can download paystubs from their portal. Bolto doesn’t take part in automated employment verification services yet.
- API or webhook access: not available yet. Contact your account manager if you need it.
